This year’s Festival features an exciting line-up of galleries featuring work by internationally-acclaimed artists including Michael A. Cummings, considered to be the leading African-American male quilter, and Taiwanese fibre artist Danny Amazonas, plus African-American Quilts from the Cargo Collection at the International Quilt Museum, and quilts from the renowned Roderick Kiracofe Collection.
Special features for this year’s Festival are The Freedom Quilt by the Sophie Hayes Foundation, supporting women survivors of modern slavery, The Guru Nanak Tapestry, a unique multifaith tapestry involving 91 participants from the Sikh, Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, and The Grenfell Memorial Quilt, an inclusive community project set up to provide an outlet for the emotions of those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy and as a tribute to the 72 people who died.
