Hangovers are synonymous with Christmas excess. Be it at the Christmas party, the local pub or around at a friend’s house, the festive period inevitably leads to over-indulgence.

Along with these jolly evenings of festive cheer comes the dreaded morning after, when you wake up feeling like your head is going to collapse in on itself and your mouth is as dry as a Bulb Energy investor’s bank account.

If this is the way you are feeling in a couple of days after over doing it too much, don’t worry, below we have the recipe for a secret bath remedy, which will help you beat your hangover.

Hangover cures for those that can sleep in 

You can use 8 drops of this mixture in a bath. You can use 2 drops rubbed into your liver area and two drops rubbed into the back of your neck.  As well, add 2 drops of carrot essential oil to a spoonful of honey, add mixture to hot water in a mug and drink.

  • 3 drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops of Sandalwood essential oil
  • 5 drops of Fennel essential oil
  • 10 drops of Lemon essential oil

Hangover cures for those who have to work

  • 10 drops of Grapefruit essential oil
  • 7 drops of Rosemary essential oil
  • 4 drops of Fennel essential oil
  • 3 drops of Juniper essential oil

This blend works as a diuretic and helps you flush the toxins while also giving you the energy that you need to last a day at work.

Mix 8 drops in a bath and/or rub 2 drops on your neck and two drops in the liver region.

Remember to drink lots of water and add 2 drops of carrot essential oil to a spoonful of honey, add mixture to hot water in a mug and sip.
