You’ll get the most out of 50connect as a logged in experience. As a registered user you will be able to comment on stories articles and have easy access to enter our great competitions – for free!
Registering on 50connect is simple! We don’t ask for sensitive information! We only need some basic details to enable us to can create a personal profile to help you make best use of the site.
If you are registering on 50connect for the first time follow our simple step-by-step guide;
Get to the appropriate form.
On the top right of the homepage main menu click on the link Log In.
This will bring you to a screen (shown below) with the heading ‘Sign In / Create Account’
- Click on the link that says ‘REGISTER’
This will take you to the screen shown below
Choose a username and password
You’ll be asked to choose a Username (the name you want others on the site to see and use.) and to add your first and last names. You’re Username and Password need to be unique to you. Make sure they are memorable, because you will need to use them every time you sign in to the site.
Username and Password fields are case sensitive so make sure you take a note if you have used capital letters. But don’t worry if you forget your details of if you have any problems, just email [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help.

In order to use 50connect and its services you must accept our Terms of Use. Please check the tick box before proceeding with your registration.

There is just one thing left to do in order to activate your account.
Check your inbox for a confirmation e-mail from 50connect
You will be asked for an email address when you register. When you click ‘Register’ to submit the form, a confirmation is instantly sent to the e-mail address that you registered with. It will appear from 50connect.co.uk and contains a long link, which should be highlighted in blue. Click on this link, and this will finalise your registration.
You will be taken through to your Personal Profile page.
Congratulations, you’ve finished. You are now a member of 50connect! You can now add a profile picture, enter as many competitions and quizzes as you like and comment on anything you please and chat with other members.
Our privacy promise to you
We take the privacy of our member seriously and have made it easy for you to understand why we gather personal information when you register, how we use it and your right to manage that information.
