You’ll be spoilt for choice
Our country houses offer different graded walks, depending on the house location, from the easiest of ambles, to more intense mountain challenges and world-famous trails. Each walking day we offer a choice of three walks where you can choose your preferred grade (except for guided trails and island hopping, challenge walks and guided walking with sightseeing). On our Guided Trails and Island Hopping holidays, the overall route will be graded.
Walks grades
While most walking holiday companies grade their trips, very few offer a choice of different grade walks on any given holiday. On our walking holidays, we do! All our holidays feature a guide to the grades of the walks available; a summary of the grading system is shown below.
Follow our leader
Our handpicked volunteer leaders are chosen for their walking and leading expertise, local knowledge, passion and personality, ensuring everyone makes the most of their time away. They will take care of daily logistics and lead you on guided walks and/or sightseeing trips. Their local knowledge will add insight to your holiday and your overall experience.
You won’t walk it off
Full Board – All meals are included at our UK country houses and our hearty menus reflect the seasons and local produce. We can cater for most special diets including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. We pride ourselves on producing high quality meals and regional dishes, all created to satisfy your walking appetite.
