For the second year running, Royal Voluntary Service will be debuting GrandFest, the one day festival that celebrates talented older people and the heritage skills they can share with the younger generation.
Following on from the success of last year, GrandFest will be held in and around East London on Sunday 5th June. The festival which is expected to be even bigger and better this year will take over nearby cafes, shops and museums to run a series of master classes by talented older people, GrandMakers, all aged 70 years and over.
This is where we need your help: we’re looking for people with a specialist skill to hold two 45 minute classes. These can be anything from bread making to brewing, dress making to jewellery workshops. This will be an amazing opportunity to share everything that you know with others.
Could you be a GrandMaker? To apply you need to be over 70 (by 5th June), a volunteer-enthusiast, available to attend GrandFest and have a specialist skill. Your expenses and overnight accommodation will be provided.

The Royal Voluntary Service (formally WRVS) are one of the biggest volunteer organisations in the UK, which supports 100,000 older people in communities nationwide, helping them to remain independent.
